1. Open Pay Bills window as you are paying your bills in Vendor > Pay Bills.
Vendor 101 is highlighted and checked in this example. The bill is $1,000 + HST 12%, which means the Sugg. Discount of 1% 10 Net 30 is $10 (1% x $1,000).

2. Highlight the appropriate bill and check the checkbox.
Once you do this, the Set Discount and Set Credits buttons are enabled, so you can click any one of them.

3. Click the Set Discount button to open Discount and Credits window.
$10 discount is applied automatically in this example, but you can modify it by entering a new value in the Amount of Discount field.

4. Enter appropriate account in the Discount Account field.
5. Enter appropriate class if you have one.
6. Click Done when you are finished.

 

Similarly to apply credits manually or to adjust credit amounts:

1. Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 above.
2. Click the Set Credits button to open Discount and Credits window.

3. Checkmark the credit you want to apply.
As $82, - credit is used in this example, Amt. To Use column is updated from 0 to 82, Credit Balance column is updated from 82 to 0, and Credit Used field is updated from 0 to 82.

4. Click Done when you are finished.
