QuickBooks update: December 2014

General changes:

  • Customers split view1. Easily navigate between customers! Click Customers in the left navbar, and then click a customer in the list to enter 01 split view mode.

  • Redesigned settings for everyone. If you used to see 02 old preferences, now you’ll see 03 new settings. It’s cleaner and easier to read! Gear > Company Settings.

Bank feed changes:

  • Export bank rules and then import them to other QuickBooks companies2. This is convenient if you manage multiple companies, like accountants do! Choose which rules to import, and then 04 set up payees and categories in the destination company to support the new rules. Transactions > Banking > ▼ to the right of Update > Manage rules > ▼ to the right of New rule > Import/Export rules.
